Jaguara’s journey began in 2001 when agronomist Antonio Wander, alongside two colleagues, established their first coffee plantation. In 2013, daily operations passed to his son, André Luiz, and wife, Natália, who introduced innovative and sustainable farming practices. Located in Campo das Vertentes, an area known for its gold mining history, the 90-hectare farm is dedicated to natural coffee production. Their commitment to sustainability includes agroforestry, improving biodiversity, and achieving full energy self-sufficiency through solar power since 2021.

Jaguara is a hub for innovation, constantly refining its approach to quality. The farm experiments with fermentation techniques, both anaerobic and aerobic, using various controlled environments like barrels, polypropylene bags, drying boxes, and tanks to develop unique profiles. This dedication to craftsmanship earned Jaguara fifth place in Brazil’s 2019 Cup of Excellence.

Every step, from cultivation to processing, is designed to enhance flavor complexity, which through meticulous and careful roasting helps us to achieve Jaguara’s full potential, bringing out a refined balance of caramel, pear, red plum, dark chocolate, and nougat.
