“Las Perlitas,” meaning “Little Pearls,” is a brilliant initiative designed to champion Huila’s most dedicated smallholder farmers. Throughout the Colombian harvest season, passionate producers frequently cultivate coffees of breathtaking quality that are simply too small in volume to be exported individually. Historically, these exceptional micro-lots from farmers like Edier Perdomo, Jhon Esneider Ordoñez, and Anayibe Ortiz would be lost within bulk commercial blends. This project actively rescues these hidden gems, seamlessly combining them into an export-sized batch that proves a united community can rival the world’s finest single estates.

Grown high in the mountains at elevations up to 2,000 meters above sea level, this specific collection focuses entirely on the rare and highly prized Pink Bourbon varietal. To be selected as a “Pearl,” every individual lot undergoes rigorous sensory evaluation, required to meet strict physical standards and achieve exceptional specialty cup scores. By purchasing these meticulously crafted micro-lots together at a premium, the project provides a highly sustainable, equitable economic model for local farming families while delivering a flawless, magnified expression of Huila’s incredible high-altitude terroir.
